ABOUT THURU NURSERY NETWORK

To drive our impact we have realised that the real streght is to have our own plant network to resouces plants. So we have worked on building on a collection of plant nurseries or growers that collaborate,  and expertise to  grow, distribute, and sale of plants. These networks can serve various purposes, including commercial, educational, and conservation efforts. Here are some common aspects and functions of a plant nursery network:

On-Going Projects

THURU NURSERY NETWORK

1. Plant Propagation: Nurseries within the network may specialize in propagating specific types of plants, such as ornamentals, trees, shrubs, or edible crops. They propagate plants from seeds, cuttings, or other methods and then distribute them to other members or customers.

2. Varietal Diversity: Nursery networks often offer a wide variety of plant species and cultivars, allowing customers to choose from a diverse range of options for landscaping, gardening, or agricultural purposes.

3. Resource Sharing: Members of the network may share resources like seeds, equipment, knowledge, and best practices. This can help improve the overall quality and sustainability of the plant materials produced.

 4. Education and Training: These networks may provide educational resources and training for their members, as well as for the broader community. Workshops, seminars, and online resources can help people learn about plant care and propagation.

 5. Conservation Efforts: Some plant nursery networks focus on the preservation of endangered or native plant species. They may work with conservation organizations to propagate and reintroduce these plants into their natural habitats.

 6. Supply Chain Management: For commercial nursery networks, efficient supply chain management is crucial. This includes logistics, inventory management, and distribution strategies to ensure plants are available when and where they are needed.

 7. Market Access: Nursery networks may facilitate market access for their members by collectively promoting their products and connecting them with potential customers, retailers, and wholesalers.

The specific goals and activities of a plant nursery network can vary widely based on its mission and the needs of its members. These networks play a vital role in the horticultural and agricultural industries by providing a reliable source of quality plants and promoting best practices in plant care and propagation.
